Green-Schools is delighted to announce our Primary Travel Conference Keynote speaker, Dr. Sarah Rock. Sarah is passionate about placemaking, and in engaging citizens in the co-creation of great neighbourhoods to call home. Sarah states that;
“as the population of our cities and towns continue to grow, we must seek out innovative and sustainable solutions to transport and urban planning that put the needs of people and the environment at the heart of decision making.”
Sarah lectures in urban design and transport planning in TU Dublin, and Chairs the Masters programme in Urban Regeneration and Development. Her qualifications include a Doctorate in Transport Planning from the UCD School of Civil Engineering, a Masters in Urban Development and Design from the University of New South Wales, Australia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University, England. She is an eternal student, but perhaps the biggest learnings of them all have come from her other role as mother to two bright and funny children of primary school age.
